A place for me to showcase local artists, musicians, writers, photographers and other various stimuli.

...and the women set the table with food in the name of the Devil.

It has been a long while, and even though I feel as if I am addressing only myself, still there is a hypothetical knocking at an even more hypothetical door.

In the coming weeks I will be showcasing a few artists (Joe LeFOTO, Jaws That Bite, Shadow Attack, and Holli Streetman), as well as recording a new EP in Michigan with the helping hand of my good friend Sean Vanloozen.

Writing for this effort has been a chore to be quite honest.  A hope for dense instrumentation, harmonies, and an overall more mature use of dynamics has kept me occupied and moving forward with the arrangement process.  I am reaching out to other musicians this go-around as well, which is different for me in my solo outfit.  Namely; Tony Solis, Nic Wagner, Ashlan Ounanian, Garrison Panyan, Tucker Eads, and Emily Davis.  This is all tentative, of course, however I feel it necessary to hope rather than to write off any possibilities at this point.

As for a title on this upcoming effort...I am not sure just yet.  Honestly I am not even quite sure of the moniker I will be using this time, as it will be involving more musicians, I can't exactly state that this is a solo outing.  Therefore using my usual "The Lordfox" would just seem silly and inappropriate.  I have decided on cover art, however, which I procured thanks to Megan's step-father.  It will be as such;

 I am pretty pleased with it, much more-so than the last art I used...which was a result of novice tinkering with PhotoShop (a program that I still can't get my bearings with).

This time around I am going to be using more electric guitars in the recording as opposed to the strictly acoustic approach I previously took.  I feel this will allow me to represent a wider range of textures and hopefully enable me to make good on the ambitions I have for this effort.

Most of all, though, I am strictly geeked to be working with Tony and Garrison again, as we used to play in several outfits together when we were wee lads.  The dynamic will be much different this time around however, and hopefully I can keep my focus among the ridiculous talent I will be surrounded by.

The sessions will be between the 30th and the 7th, so hopefully you will hear pieces soon.

For the time being, here is a sample of my earlier work, hope you enjoy.

Love
